Baby Trend: 2026 Website Redesign
Jason BraunProject Overview
We migrated Baby Trend from Magento to Shopify Plus in 2019. Seven years later they asked for a full site upgrade: a storefront that matches a major juvenile brand with Walmart, Target, and a real safety story. Not a 2019 theme with more apps on it.
This is a new chapter, not a rewrite of the original migration.
The Challenge
Baby Trend is a high-traffic Plus catalog with a lot of legal and support surface area: safety, compatibility, product compare, registration, and content that has to hold up for both shoppers and AI search. The old study covers getting onto Shopify. This one is about making the live store match the brand in 2026.
What we shipped this year
- A rebuilt custom Plus theme and homepage
- Safety Center: prominent header placement, certification and alliance badges, consistent manual language, video
- Compatibility page for seats, wagons, and adapters, moved out of the footer-only treatment
- Product compare: visible controls, a hard five-item cap, and clear feedback
- EEAT content: bylined safety and product posts from the Baby Trend team
- Support and merchandising work that sits on top of the new theme (Yotpo Loyalty, FAQ architecture)
Work is still moving in phases. The storefront is live. Safety, compatibility, and compare are the first things a parent actually uses.
Why it belongs next to the 2019 study
The migration proved we can move a catalog. The 2026 redesign proves we can stay and rebuild the thing parents see. Same client, different job.
